Marius Noss Gundersen - probably Norway’s most photographed guitarist!
Marius Noss Gundersen is one of Norway’s busiest classical guitarists with approximately 100 concerts a year. Marius has specialized in Brazilian music and music for 2 guitars, both as a soloist and through his work with the acclaimed guitar duo – Duo Gvito. Since he studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London UK – last millennium! - he’s been spending more and more time focusing on South American – and mainly Brazilian music. It all culminated in march 2012 with the release of his new CD “Visual Music – Retrato Brasileiro”. It comprises music by Jobim, Bonfa, Assad, Pereira, Morel, Toquinho and Baden Powell in addition to his own compositions.
Visual Music is Marius’ latest project and is the collaboration of photo and music. Photographer Tomas Moss and guitarist Marius Noss Gundersen creates visual and audible projects based on the belief that music and pictures can be joined together to create something wonderful. The power of combining vision and audio to give the audience a wider experience is what excites and drives Tomas and Marius to work together. It is this collaboration that is the reason why Marius now claims to be “Probably Norway’s most photographed guitarist”.
